How does pricing work?

Encrata uses prepaid credits. Select the number of credits you want, then use your balance for lookups at the rates shown above. You can purchase more credits from your dashboard whenever you need them.

Yes. Every account starts with 500 free credits. No credit card is required.

How many credits does a lookup use?

Accepted Answer

The credit cost depends on the lookup. For example, Email validity uses 1 credit, while Email identity uses 1,000 credits. The tables above lists the cost of each lookup.

Am I charged if a lookup returns no data?

Accepted Answer

No. Lookups that return no data do not consume credits. You are also not charged for requests that fail because of a server error. If a lookup finds anything, even a little, it is charged at the rate shown above.

Are cached results free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When Encrata returns a previously stored result from its cache, no credits are deducted. A lookup that requires a fresh result is charged at the applicable rate shown above.

Do credits expire?

Purchased credits never expire. Use them at your own pace.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Requests that require credits cannot be completed until you add to your balance. You can purchase additional credits from your dashboard at any time.
