Encrata is a lookup API platform for developers and businesses. By using Encrata, you agree to use it lawfully, keep your account and API keys secure, respect our rate limits, and not misuse the service, resell our data without permission, or use it to harm people. Our data may come from public sources, third-party providers, cached results, and automated systems, so while we work hard to make it useful and reliable, we cannot guarantee every result will always be complete, current, or accurate.
You own the data you submit, Encrata owns the platform, and our use of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Encrata API, website, dashboard, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Encrata provides an intelligence API platform offering email enrichment, domain lookups, IP geolocation, dark web monitoring, company intelligence, and SERP lookups. The Service includes APIs, SDKs, an MCP server, a web dashboard, and related documentation.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm individuals
- Resell or redistribute API data without authorization
- Exceed rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions
- Use the Service to build a competing product
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access beyond authorized API usage
5. Credits and Billing
The Service uses a credit-based pricing model. Credits are consumed per lookup. Unused credits do not expire unless your account is terminated. Refunds are provided at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice.
6. API Usage and Rate Limits
API access is subject to rate limits as documented. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension. We reserve the right to modify rate limits to ensure fair usage across all customers.
7. Data and Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. The Service aggregates publicly available information. We do not permanently store lookup results beyond cache TTL periods.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, APIs, documentation, and branding, are owned by Encrata. You retain ownership of your data and any content you submit through the Service.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of data returned by lookups. Data is sourced from publicly available information and third-party providers.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Encrata shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
